The present work depicts a sensual nude in bronze and is an original lifetime casting (1 of 3) by the legendary, National Academy virtuoso – Albert Wein.

Note: I had the incredible fortune of being the Albert Wein estate representative, for nearly seven years. Over the course of that time I gained intimate knowledge of this artists work in all mediums - having been exposed to many hundreds of his pieces over the course of my association with the Estate. Albert was one of the greatest tacticians of his era – the golden-age of American sculpture. His stylized modernist works in oil, bronze - or frankly whatever medium he chose to exploit – are a tour de force of technical facility. For example, Wein did comparatively few works in watercolor – yet the ones that I have seen, rank amongst the most brilliant examples. Wein could have made a name for himself in any genre or medium he chose - but his breathtaking sculptural legacy will likely be his ultimate contribution to the artworld. Blake Benton

Albert Wein stated that he sought to “stylized the classical” in his work - the level of success he achieved while doing so is obvious to see, across the entire body of his oeuvre.

We have other works by Wein available for purchase – inquiries welcome.
